A natural way to lighten your hair with Henna - No bleaching

Having a part Portuguese mum and Chinese dad gives me one of the most complicated hair combinations ever.

I have natural curly hair, fine & uneven colour mix of dark brown, light brown and a hint of red to it.

In order to look more “reliable” in the workplace when I was younger, I had dye it black for years.

Since few years ago I have been developing this healthy chemical free eco-friendly life style, (no I’m not a hippy I don’t smoke weed!) my hair had been chemical free again looking like the above.

Have been seeking for the most natural colour dye for a while, until the last Saturday, I have had finally tried this and am happy with the result! ☺

The whole process took 1.5 hour, and I have broken it down to 2 steps:

Step 1, cover your hair with lemon juice mask for 30 mins to lighten the colour a shade. Wash it thoroughly and blow-dry it.

Lemon Hair Mask: Lemon juice (from a medium size Lemon) 3 tea spoons of coconut oil / argan oil half cup of all purpose flour

Step 2, section your hair and cover it with brown Henna brick mask and let it sit for 1 hour.

I'm quite happy with this colour, and it doesn't feel damaged at all.
